As defined by Webster, the word driven means "having a compulsive or urgent quality". That didn't even come close to describing Gats-B's work ethic. This guy was known to work at agility, herding, or obedience for days on end, without stopping. He truly loved having a "job".
At home, in the house, he had an "off" switch, and he was content to just lie at your feet, or with his head in your lap, and "chill out", but get him out on the agility field, or near sheep, and it's like someone hit the "on" switch......he got very intense, and went into warp speed.
Gats-B was Nevada's 1st NADAC Agility Trial Champion, and Nevada's 1st ASCA Agility Champion, having earned both those titles in the summer of 2001. He was bred by Joanne Griffin, Jammin' Shelties , in San Diego - a well-known long line of both confirmation and obedience champions. He was tri-color, 18 1/2" tall and weighed 34 pounds.
Gats-B crossed over the Rainbow Bridge on May 18, 2009. He taught us so much, and is sorely missed.
